OV Launches OV Travel to WAS #24, Opening Its MNO Capabilities to Travel and Connectivity Partners

OV Launches OV Travel to WAS #24

OV, part of the CVC DIF-backed Manx Telecom Group, is launching OV Travel at GSMA WAS #24 this October, giving travel eSIM providers, MVNOs and connectivity brands greater access to the technology, network reach and roaming expertise of an established mobile network operator.

OV Travel brings together global mobile connectivity, eSIM capabilities, connectivity management and specialist roaming support through a single integration. It is designed to help travel connectivity providers expand into new markets, exercise greater control over network selection and build a more sustainable commercial model as they grow.

The launch forms part of OV’s wider ambition to become the MNO behind the world’s leading connectivity providers. It also reflects the investment and strategic backing behind OV, with the company sponsoring and exhibiting at GSMA WAS for the first time.

OV has more than 15 years’ experience supporting international travel connectivity, from physical travel SIMs through to today’s rapidly growing eSIM market. Its connectivity ecosystem includes more than 600 roaming relationships, supported by direct engagement with mobile operators around the world.

Travel and IoT connectivity share many of the same underlying challenges: rapid provisioning, dependable access across multiple countries and networks, and intelligent traffic management that protects customer experience and commercial performance.

OV has developed its platform and network capabilities through its work with leading global IoT connectivity providers. Through OV Travel, it is bringing those capabilities together into a proposition created specifically for travel eSIM providers, MVNOs and connectivity brands.
The proposition is delivered through OV Partners: reach further, together – OV’s flexible approach to working with connectivity providers. Partners can select the capabilities they need today and add further services as their business develops:

  • Reach more networks. Access multiple network profiles, eSIM capabilities and flexible traffic steering through a single integration.
  • Reach new markets. Use OV’s operator relationships and roaming expertise to expand coverage and enter new destinations faster.
  • Reach further, together. Add the technology, connectivity and specialist support you need as your business grows.

Robin Lackie, Chief Commercial Officer at OV, said:

“Travel connectivity providers need more than another set of wholesale data rates. They need the network access, technology and roaming expertise to take greater control of their service and build a sustainable margin as they scale.

“OV Travel gives partners a practical route to benefit from MNO capabilities without having to build an MNO themselves. Launching at WAS brings our travel partners closer to the operator relationships and commercial negotiations that ultimately shape their coverage, quality and costs.”

Sam Eaton, Business Development Manager at OV, added:

“We built our IoT business partner by partner, giving each provider the capabilities it needed and adding more as it grew. We are now bringing that same partner-first approach to travel.

“Whether a partner needs connectivity in particular destinations, eSIM technology, dedicated infrastructure or direct support from our roaming specialists, OV Travel allows us to build the right model around their business.”

OV Travel will be available to travel eSIM providers, MVNOs and connectivity partners from October 2026.

GSMA WAS #24 takes place at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin from 19–22 October 2026. The OV team will be available at Booth 21 throughout the event.
